Are you into a lot of sweets? Do you always indulge yourself on fatty foods and a lot of carbohydrates? If you will also say that you slouch too much for the whole day and you are not perspiring, then you are a perfect target for diabetes. This is a chronic disease due to lack of insulin and most the problems it has been causing is resulted by unusual blood sugar levels. Its symptoms are often disregarded due to its harmless effects but regrets may come after it has escalated to something bigger and damaging.

Stages of Diabetes

If you live a sedentary life and if you believe that you are munching a lot on unhealthy foods which are usually tasty, fast and satisfying, you must be careful and think of the possibility that you have diabetes. This disease starts with lack of insulin followed by hyperfiltration. In the hyperfiltration phase, the blood sugar level will affect the kidney's size making it function differently than the usual. Microalbuminaria is the next phase and it is characterized with blood being seen in a diabetic's urine.

The later stages show inconvenient symptoms to the patient and this is something that they won't be able to ignore anymore as it could lead to different kinds of harmful effects. Some of these are permanent blindness, amputation and complications on different body organs. These could also lead to sudden death or a slow but painful one. To delay the effects of this sickness, it is important to undergo treatments and body maintenance after its early detection.

Diabetic Symptoms

Your blood sugar level is affected if you have diabetes and most of its symptoms are associated this. The early symptoms of diabetes can appear to be easy and not too harmful. Because of this, many people are just shrugging it off not knowing that they are possible or already have this serious medical condition. One of those symptoms is excessive thirst and urination. Since the blood sugar affects kidney activities, frequent urination can be the result of it. Excessive urination will then trigger abnormal thirst which makes a diabetic to urinate more.

Insulin shortage could lead to extreme weakness or sudden fatigue. An abnormal blood sugar level can also cause the vision to be blurred as it affects the fluids that can exist on body tissues such as eye lenses. A diabetic person could go blind eventually on the worst stages. Other symptoms that would occur on diabetics are sudden weight loss, itchy skin and numbness. It is important to have yourself checked regularly especially your blood sugar level to confirm whether you have this kind of illness.
